Anything your organization does online must show a tangible result: Customers, results, votes, etc. If any online tool doesn’t deliver these results – it is not worth your time.
We have found that the e-marketing industry is littered with companies that will say or do anything to get you to sign on the dotted line. They make outlandish promises of dominating the online world in weeks if you will only agree to their retainer. After the contract is signed, many clients find themselves dealing mostly with a Junior Associate who spends more time on his own Twitter feed than on your account.
This may be the best way to achieve short-term success, but it is not the way to best serve your clients. We believe any business or political relationship must include an honest, frank assessment of your goals and what it will take to get you there.
